It’s no secret that people like smoothies. It’s not a secret that smoothies are healthy and perfect for a hearty breakfast. I don’t even think there are secrets when it comes to a drink like this.
I’ve been on a mission to create a smoothie that is so jam-packed with immune-boosting properties, it’s practically a flu shot in a glass. I call this one the Smoothie King of Immunity Boost because it has so many ingredients that have been shown to support healthy immunity (not to mention, it tastes great).
I start my day (at least 2-3 x / a week) with a smoothie, and I don’t need anything else until noon.
Let’s face it, I’m not saying do as I do, you know better what you need and what you like to eat or drink in the morning. I’m just telling you that a smoothie can be a perfect way to enjoy fruits and vegetables, especially in the cold season.
Today, I want to introduce you to the smoothie king of immunity boost: ginger, turmeric, orange, and lemon juice, honey, black pepper, and sea buckthorn smoothie, a real cocktail of nutrients that has an immunizing, vitaminizing, mineralizing, powerful antioxidant effect, is a natural tonic, and last but not least, is a source of protein.
Let’s see before the presentation of the ingredients and the preparation of this “explosive cocktail” of nutrients to boost your immunity, and some benefits of its ingredients:
Sea buckthorn

Sea buckthorn has been known since Antiquity, being one of the essential plants in traditional Chinese medicine treatments.
Sea buckthorn is considered a miracle plant due to the benefits it brings to a healthy body, or the way it acts as an adjuvant in the treatment of a pathology.
These fruits are known for their vitaminizing, and immunostimulating, depurative. antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, healing, emollient, and cytoprotective effects
These fruits can be picked or bought in the markets, where they are found from the end of summer to the beginning of winter.
You must know that this fruit can be used both as a treatment, and as an adjuvant in various pathologies, but also as food. Syrups and jams can be prepared from these fruits, as well as wine. In addition, sea buckthorn tea can successfully replace coffee, having neuroexcitatory effects.
What nutrients does sea buckthorn contain?
This fruit is one of the richest products in vitamins A and E. Ginger

Ginger has antiemetic, anti-vertigo, digestive, analgesic, antipyretic, revulsive, sedative, tonic, anti-inflammatory, and energizing properties, stimulates poor peripheral circulation, soothes coughs, and stimulates perspiration.
Ginger consumption has a beneficial effect on people suffering from nausea, vomiting, motion sickness, altitude, cold, or flu.
The part that is consumed from ginger is the root, which has a gnarled shape and a light color.
Ginger is eaten both fresh and pickled, dried, candied, flaked, or powdered. In international cuisine, ginger root is widely used in a wide range of foods, cakes, teas, natural drinks, etc.
In addition to culinary uses, ginger is also used in cosmetics, having the role of beautifying the skin, nails, hair, and teeth.
Lemon and orange juice
Both intensify the beneficial properties for health, due to their antibacterial and antiviral effects, through the high amount of vitamin C contained. And finally, citrus juice is very tasty!
Turmeric

It is a close relative of ginger and is a perennial plant native to India, whose scientific name is Turmeric Longa.
Turmeric powder is a spice with an intense aroma, specifically Indian, but also with a lot of health benefits. Turmeric, the active substance in turmeric, has healing effects once it reaches the body.
I will list some of the benefits of using turmeric: it is a natural anti-inflammatory, helps you lose weight, treats gastrointestinal problems, is an excellent detoxifier, beneficial for heart health, relieves menstrual pain, prevents cancer, fights depression, and slows down the aging process.
Black pepper benefits:
Black pepper has an antioxidant and antibacterial effect, maintaining the health of the digestive tract. It also improves digestion and helps with intestinal health. At the same time, it is the ingredient that activates the properties of turmeric.
