Welcome! I’m Raoul, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m not a celebrity trainer, an Instagram influencer, or someone who’s never struggled with health. I’m a real person—just like you—who’s experienced the ups, the downs, the setbacks, and the “I’ll start on Monday” phase more times than I can count. But years ago, I reached a turning point. I said, “ENOUGH!

For six years (2006-2012), I had drifted away from the healthy lifestyle I once lived. Overwhelming work hours, skipped meals, lack of rest, and zero time for movement gradually led me to gain weight and lose energy. 

But I wasn’t a beginner—I had years of experience with gym training, meal planning, and structured routines. I knew what worked. I just needed to return to it. So, I took action! I approached my transformation with a clear strategy and set concrete goals structured around four fundamental pillars:


● Knowledge
● Correct Nutrition
● Bodyweight Home Workouts
● Rest.

I broke my plan into stages—3, 6, and 9 months—and began in mid-July 2012 with a commitment to proper nutrition, consistent home workouts (using bodyweight, kettlebells, and resistance bands), and prioritizing recovery. I also never had vices like smoking or drinking, which helped support my progress.

Instead of reaching for quick fixes or meals with empty calories, I focused on preparing nutrient-dense, wholesome meals that nourished my body. Meals that supported my workouts, stabilized my energy, and helped me feel full and satisfied without overeating.

The result? I lost 23 kilograms (51 pounds) from 89 kg to 66 kg in 9 months. But I didn’t stop there. I soon realized I had pushed too far in the opposite direction, becoming too skinny for my frame. So I adjusted again, slowly and intentionally. By late 2013, I found my healthy balance and maintained a weight range of 76–78 kg. 

I’m 43 years old, and I’ve been living this sustainable, health-focused lifestyle for over a decade.

This personal journey—built on clean eating, consistent movement, and mental clarity— inspired me to create Birdy’s Health Dose! I posted my first article on July 23, 2019 – The Best Nutrition Guide: What Are the Right Food Combinations?

My Philosophy

Health should be simple, approachable, and empowering. It’s not about chasing perfection, counting every calorie, or cutting out entire food groups. It’s about making small, consistent choices supporting your body, mind, and lifestyle.

My philosophy is rooted in:

  • Movement that fits your life, not the other way around
  • Rest and recovery, because health isn’t just about doing more
  • Balance over Burnout
  • Progress over perfection.

I don’t believe in fad diets or “magic weight loss” pills. I believe in real food, effort, and actual results because that changed my life.

About – My Purpose

I created Birdy’s Health Dose from a place of deep personal transformation. Years ago, I stood where many of my readers are now—frustrated, overwhelmed, and stuck in a body that didn’t reflect the vibrant, energetic person I knew I could be. 

I knew what needed to be done, but finding a way to fit it into a busy life was the real challenge. Over time, I created a sustainable, empowering path forward that I now share through this blog.

This blog is my way of giving back—of sharing that journey with others ready to take charge of their health, reshape their mindset, and rediscover their confidence—without gimmicks, extremes, or being overwhelmed. 

My mission is simple: to help men and women build a healthier relationship with food, fitness, and themselves. I focus on practical, science-backed strategies in nutrition, workouts, and psychology that support weight loss and promote long-term wellness.
