The mixture of sea buckthorn with honey is considered an elixir of health, a universal cure for treating and preventing many diseases and conditions, due to the benefits that these two foods bring to the body, both separately, but especially together: antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunostimulant, vitaminizing, anticancer, anti-aging, cures colds and infections, regulates the circulatory system, endocrine, and gastrointestinal activity.

The preparation of the elixir is very simple: use one part honey to 3 parts sea buckthorn fruit.

Wash the fruit well and crush it until a brightly colored paste is obtained. Put the paste in a jar, pour the amount of honey over it, close it, and leave it to soak for 7-10 days, cold. Since the maceration process takes place at low temperatures, it would be good to use acacia honey because it is harder to crystallize and the mixture will be easier to handle.

After the maceration period, the product will have a sweet-sour taste, pleasant even for children. The mixture can also be prepared with whole sea buckthorn fruits. 

After opening the jar, the mixture is kept cold and it is recommended to consume it in a maximum of 2-3 months. One tablespoon a day and your body will thank you!

Sea buckthorn powder

The dried sea buckthorn fruits are ground, thus obtaining a powder with a strong vitaminizing and remineralizing effect. The powder can be consumed as such, one teaspoon 4 times a day or can be added to yogurts, salads, sauces, soups, cakes, or hidden in rice milk if the “dwarf” is difficult to convince :))).

3. Leave to infuse for 15 minutes, then strain.

Sea buckthorn syrup

The syrup is obtained by squeezing the sea buckthorn fruits and mixing the juice obtained with honey. If you prepare the syrup at home, try to use honey and not sugar, to obtain a healthier and more aromatic product.

If you are wondering what is good, you should know that the elixir thus obtained stimulates immunity, has anti-influenza, antiviral, anticancer, antioxidant effects, regulates the activity of the endocrine glands, and prevents aging.

Preventively, consume 30 ml of syrup diluted in 150 ml of water, and curatively 1 teaspoon 3 times a day, 15 minutes before meals. It is very important to remember that it is not advisable to consume sea buckthorn syrup before bed because it has an energizing effect.

Sea buckthorn bark tincture

The sea buckthorn bark is left to dry and then ground, obtaining a powder.

Method of preparation:

50 g of bark powder are placed in a bottle with 250 ml of food alcohol of 70-80 degrees, left to soak for 15 days and shaken as often as possible, and finally strain.

Internally, the tincture is recommended to slow down the aging process and regenerate liver cells, and externally, it is effective in treating eczema, infections, and open wounds. It has a strong antiseptic, regenerating, and healing effect.

Sea buckthorn oil

The oil can be prepared from both fresh and dried fruit (powder).

One kilogram of fresh fruit is crushed and the obtained paste is mixed in a container with olive or sunflower oil and left to soak for 30 days, at room temperature and without closing the container tightly.

At the end of the maceration period, it is strained through gauze, and the oil obtained is kept in opaque bottles, to avoid the alteration of the product by contact with the sun’s rays.

Sea buckthorn oil from dried fruits is prepared from 100g of powder to 24 tablespoons of oil. The mixture is left to soak for 20-30 days and finally strained.

The main effect of sea buckthorn oil is the hepatoprotective one, reducing the level of toxic substances in the liver and the side effects caused by them.
